Light up the dawn for Anzac Day
This Anzac Saturday, for the first time in it’s 93 year history, there will be no dawn service for people to observe together. However, we can still honour the memory of the brave soldiers and service people that sacrificed their lives for our country. As an alternative to the dawn service the RSL has proposed we stand outside our driveway at 5:55 am for a minute’s silence. Sadly, the decision has been made this morning that our parish churches, including the Prayer Chapel, will be CLOSED FOR ALL ACTIVITIES – Masses, Rosary, Adoration, Stations of the Cross and private prayer – until further notice. All church cleaning and communion visitation are also suspended until further notice. We recommend that any small group activities currently being undertaken (e.g. Lenten groups or prayer groups) should stop for the time being. Dear Brothers and Sisters It is with sadness that I announce that due to the Corona Virus we are no longer able to hold any Masses or public Sacraments for the foreseeable future.
