COVID-19 update regarding re-opening of Places of Worship – Mass will be celebrated this weekend (23-24 Oct) with everyone able to attend

With NSW reaching the 80% vaccination target last weekend, places of worship were able to re-open from yesterday Monday 18 October.  So, this weekend – 23-24 October 2021 – we look forward to opening the Sacred Heart Church doors and welcoming everyone to Mass!

Mass times for this weekend | 30 Sunday in Ordinary Time | will be:

  • 6:00 pm Saturday 23 October Vigil
  • 8:00 am Sunday 24 October
  • 10:00 am Sunday 24 October

Instruction for the Sacrament of Confirmation will also recommence from this weekend.

Some restrictions remain in place including:

  • Check-in and hand sanitizing is still required on arrival
  • Face masks remain mandatory
  • Our covid safety plan remains active
  • The one person per 4 square metre and social distancing rules still apply

Good news is that we are allowed to have up to 10 fully vaccinated singers in the choir! Bad news is that the rest of us still cannot join in just yet!!

Please note that there will be NO weekday Masses this week or next week.

We thank you all for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the covid-19 maze of rule changes.
Any queries or concerns about the re-opening and Mass attendance, please contact the parish office.  We look forward to seeing many of you at Mass on the weekend.
Until then stay safe and well.
