Change to Sunday Mass Time from 1 February 2023
With the planned return of Fr Anthony to active ministry in late February/early March; a decision has been made to celebrate only one Mass on Sundays rather than the current two Masses.
Sunday Mass time will change to 9:00 am from the first weekend in February. The Saturday Vigil Mass and weekday Masses will remain unchanged.
Our understanding is that in the short-term Fr Peter will remain in the Parish to support Fr Anthony whilst he continues his rehabilitation and assist with his return to ministry. Whilst Fr Anthony is keen to return to full and active ministry in our Parish, there are still some hurdles to be overcome and the need to assess how much he can physically do is still a work in progress.
We understand that this change may not suit everyone and we are sorry about that; however, going forward we hope that the change is embraced by all and pray that the change will allow our parish to flourish spiritually and as a worshipping community.
